Parmesan Walnut Brussel Sprouts

The only way to eat brussel sprouts – so full of flavour and tastefully delicious!

Introduction

These brussel sprouts are so ridiculously delicious! Cooked just prefectly, the shredded sprouts have an amazing texture, flavour and compliment any meal. 

Be sure to save this recipe for your holiday spread. While they’re great with any meal, they’re extra perfec with ham or turkey dinner!

Ingredients

  • 4-5 cups brussel sprouts, shredded
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 5-6 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • sea salt 
  • pepper
1. Slice off the bottom 1/3 inch of the sprouts off and discard the out most leaves. Slice them really thinly with a sharp knife or you can use the slicing blade on a food processor.
2. Over medium-low heat, add 1 tbsp olive oil and the brussel sprouts. Stirring periodically. Add in chopped garlic and let soften for 8-10 minutes. You want the brussel sprouts to still have a bit of crunch, but be soft overall.
3. While sprouts are cooking, add breadcrumbs, walnuts, garlic powder and butter to a small pan over medium heat. Stirring frequently for 7-9 minutes or until browned.
4. Add the breadcrumb mixture to the sprouts and mix together. Stir in the parmesan cheese and remove from heat.
