FYL Energy Bars
Healthy fats and micronutrients packed in.
Introduction
This recipe is from my gf Kellie, owner @fityourlifeyeg. They are the perfect little snack or sweet treat! The twins eat these up – which is so great considering all the healthy fats and micronutrients packed in.

Ingredients
- 12 dates that have been soaked in hot water (at least 1-2 hours)
- 3/4 cup oats
- 3/4 cup cashews
- 1/4 cup hemp seed
- 2 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- Sea salt
✖️In a food processor add: dates, oats, cashews, and hemp seeds
✖️In a microwave safe bowl melt, then add to food processor
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 1 tbsp honey
✖️Blend everything together. I used a vitamix as my food processor crapped out – it works but I had to add a tiny splash oat milk to get it going
✖️Press into a container or baking dish lined with parchment. Place in the freezer for 30 mins
✖️Melt 1/4 cup dark chocolate and pour on top. Add a sprinkle of sea salt. Freeze again for 30-40 mins. Cut up and store in the freezer for easy access!
