Toddler Trail Mix
A festive twist on the usual snacks
Introduction
A festive twist on the usual snacks 🌟 Although my kids are still so young, I’m trying to introduce new and fun ways to get excited about the holidays. I find when I change up something simple for them (like adding coloured cereal to their snack) it gets them excited and more interested. It also allows us to talk about the different colours and textures to help broaden their vocabulary! This mix is so flexible and really lends to any types of dry goods you have on hand!

Ingredients
- Cinnamon Chex
- Shreddies
- Cheerios
- Elf on the shelf cereal (for the fun color!)
- Mini chocolate chips
- Mini marshmallows
- Raisins
I make a big zip lock bag full so it’s quick and easy to grab. You could also portion it out into baggies, tie a ribbon around it and pass it out as gifts.
The Elf on the Shelf cereal does have more sugar in it than I would typically give the twins, but it’s also fortified with numerous vitamins and minerals so I feel like it at least provides a bit of nutrient.
This would also be a great activity for your kids to participate in, scooping cereal out of the box and into bags. It’s my 2-year-old twins dream come true!
